GC KidLit is a community of local Gold Coast children’s authors passionate about bringing stories to life and inspiring a love of reading in young people. Bringing together authors including Jennifer R. Reyes, Lisa Mackenzie, Mark Cunich and Phoebe Evers and others, GC KidLit celebrates the creativity, imagination and diverse storytelling talent within the Gold Coast community.
Through children’s books, school visits, author events and community activities, GC KidLit aims to connect local authors with families, schools, libraries and young readers. From imaginative adventures and playful picture books to stories that encourage curiosity, connection and emotional growth, these authors share a common passion for creating meaningful reading experiences for children.
By working together, they hope to inspire the next generation of readers, celebrate the magic of storytelling and strengthen connections between local authors and the communities they serve.
