Presented by Stephen Baines
Stephen’s wife who was a Kindergarten teacher for 15 years “encouraged” (we do not use the word nagged) to write children’s books about our Australian Freshwater Native fish. Whilst they deal with real fish found in our creeks they also highlight important issues such as pollution, land development, invasive species and endangered species. It also helps us consider the fact there is inly 3% of freshwater on the Planet and most of that is frozen. Without it we literally have no life on earth.
By opening our eyes, minds and heart to our aquatic environment, Stephen hopes to foster respect, and encourage protection of our entire planet, by focusing on one of the most critical aspects of life – clean, fish water.
Stephen will be presenting in the Reading zone at 11am – starting his presentation with a book reading, followed by an interactive activities.
Stephen Baines (Who is Rodney Rainbow Fish) will be on Stand 43 and in the Reading Zone at 11am at the 2026 Brisbane Education Fair and Stand 47 and the Reading Zone at 11:30am at the 2026 Sunshine Coast Education Fair
